The
Hat Yai Floods of 2000
In late 2000, Hat Yai residents were shocked by an
completely unexpected flood that inundated the entire city. Within a
month of the flooding, budding entrapoenuers started producing posters
and calendars to commenorate the event. Collecting the posters became
a short time local fad.

Flooding in October, 2002
A combination of heavy rains, a swollen Chao Phraya River, and high tides
has caused flooding in Bangkok. Here's an AP
